A Safe Place

Imagine you are in a Safe Place. This place may be larger than Texas, as big as Australia, or the size of your bedroom.

A Safe Place...

Write during 10 minutes anything you are afraid to write about, feel guilty writing about, feel foolish writing about, or have any reservations writing about whatsoever.

Packed Memories

Suppose this box was found in the attic of your house by chance. You happen to find that its content is a very dear object of yours, which you thought was lost. Describe what it is, what memories it brings back to you and what you would do with it now that it has been found again.

Observe these photos carefully and read the words. Then try to make up a story with one of them. The story could be either a product of your imagination or an anecdote related to the picture of your choice.

The Little Prince

You must have read (or at least heard about) THE LITTLE PRINCE by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.
Here are some of his most well-known lines. Why don´t you take some minutes to read them and CHOOSE at least TWO to post some ideas in YOUR blog. You can either respond to them or (even better) explore your life memories in order to tell us anecdotes or experiences in which these ideas are represented.

QUOTING "The Little Prince"

"What makes the desert beautiful," says the little prince, "is that somewhere it hides a well."
"Over the years, I came to know a great many grownups. My opinion of them never improved. In time, I stopped showing my drawing, and never again mentioned boa constrictors, elephants, or stars - instead, I would talk about golf, money, politics, and neckties, and everyone was pleased to have met such a sensible man."
"Here is the important part again: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."

"They never say to you, "What does his voice sound like? What games does he love best? Does he collect butterflies?" Instead, they demand "How old is he? How many brothers has he? How much does he weigh? How much money does his father make?" Only from these figures do they think they have learned anything about him."
"Grown-ups never understand anything by themselves, and it is tiresome for children to be always and forever explaining things to them."

YOUR SONG

I just wanted to remind you that the choice of your favourite song to post in your blog should be based on to what extent you feel identified with it, or what particular emotions it awakens in you. Don´t forget to share with all of us the lyrics & specially YOUR REACTION to it so that we can really understand your choice.
